Men's Association
First Presbyterian Church of Honeoye Falls The members of the Men's Association participated in several events that fostered camaraderie, while at the same time benefited the congregation or the community at large. The events included: the Annual Palm Sunday Breakfast, the Ecumenical Pancake Breakfast at the Festival on the Green, the Shirt Sales Booth and the Charlie Chicken BBQ. One of the oldest traditions of the Men's Association was upheld by gathering on a Saturday morning at the beginning of the Advent Season to set up the Crèche. Until his death in October, Phil Guild coordinated these events and inspired the other members of the association with his dedication and Christian values. Other members to be commended are Bruce Whitmore, Howard Sexton and Jerry Muir for preparing food at the breakfast events and Ed Werdein for his support with the Shirt Sales. Profits from the Ecumenical Pancake Breakfast were donated to ECHO (Engaging Community Help in Outreach). In addition, one hundred dollar scholarships were given to seniors Stephen Miller and Adam Williamson. |
