First Presbyterian Church of Honeoye Falls Posted January 30, 2010 37th TEAZAAR Report Teazaar 2009 Report We are pleased to report that Teazaar 2009 netted $3,547.87. While it was about $450.00 less than last year, it is a very good result based on the economic conditions around us. So many "jobs" have to be covered for this event to go on each year. We are especially grateful to all who chose to take one of those jobs and complete it for us. Several individuals have taken on the same responsibility for years and we are SO thankful for this kind of help. We are going to recognize some people who should be named as Committee members for all they have done and continue to do for the Teazaar. Sally Bloom is Diane Ham's "right arm" for the craft group and craft area. She works tirelessly on set-up and pricing and she sticks with us right through listing items left over and packing everything up for next year. Lisa Smith is our other "behind the scenes" major helper with the Teazaar. Several years ago, Lisa began organizing and setting up our pre-enjoyed jewelry area. She gives us lots of her time and she also packs up the jewelry and jewelry display items for us after the Teazaar. In addition, this year Lisa serves as a Middle School Youth Group leader, and she was actively involved in setting up and supervising the Gingerbread House on Teazaar Day. Bruce Whitmore has been chief cookie package sealer on Friday evenings for many years. He also picks up the sealing machine and a cheese cutter from Honeoye Falls Market Place and delivers it back to them later in the evening. Special appreciation goes out to Diane Ham, Karen Schiedel and Bob Towers for their continued leadership and gifts of time to this event. To all who answered a call or volunteered in anyway with Teazaar, we sincerely thank you. We look forward to directing Teazaar proceeds to projects and needs at and around our church facility that will be of benefit to all. Your PWC (Women’s Association) sponsors of the Teazaar |
