Sunday School Schedule
Church School, including Adult Bible Study, and Adult Forum, 9:15 am
Kids in Worship (age 4-grade 2) and Bible Club (grade 3-5), 10:30 am
Nursery Care Hours, 9:15-11:30 am
Christian Education Committee (from the 2004 Annual Report)
Sarah Walker's ground work enabled the Christian Education Committee to begin the Christian Education program smoothly in the fall. Under the leadership of Jim York and the dedication of a committed group of teachers and volunteers, a complete slate of classes has been offered serving preschoolers through adults. The confirmation class meets weekly, supported by their faith partners. Middle school youth and highschoolers have fellowshipped together in a variety of ways.
A new addition to the program, under the leadership of Vicki Stankaitis and Theresa Markham, has been "First Sundays". On the first Sunday of each month, a program for the entire Sunday School has been provided, the purpose of which has been to build a sense of connection amongst participants while reinforcing the curriculum. A great deal of fun and learning has resulted from the variety of planned activities, including games, songs, plays, skits and relays.
Looking forward, the Christian Education Committee has approved the Christian Education's recommendation to begin a search for a part-time Christian Education position with the intention of having someone in place prior to the fall of 2005. The Committee is excited to get this process underway.
