Adult Forum
First Presbyterian Church of Honeoye Falls
Adult Forum meets weekly on Sunday mornings at 9:15 a.m.
We search and question how our Christian faith intersects with the issues we confront in our daily lives.
Everyone is welcome to come any week.
This year, our class will meet in Room 2 across from the Choir Room.
- » October 29 We will have a chance to hear and discuss a thought-provoking, sometimes provocative program entitled "Hearing Muslim Voices Since 9/11." To learn more, go to http://speakingoffaith.publicradio.org/programs/hearingmuslims/index.shtml.
- » November 5 Mark Marchase, Director/Chief of Operations at the Honeoye Falls-Mendon Ambulance will be with us to make a presentation entitled "A Day in the Life of an Ambulance Volunteer."
- » November 12 and 19 Becky Gravenstede and Anne Gravenstede will lead a discussion about Dietrich Bonhoeffer in this, the hundredth year of his birth. He was a pastor, pacifist, Nazi resister and martyr. Becky and Anne will use an award-winning project by Becky and a DVD entitled Bonhoeffer. To learn more about the DVD, you may visit http://www.pbs.org/bonhoeffer/.
- » November 26 No Church School because of the Thanksgiving holiday.
- » On December Sundays in recognition of how busy many families and organizations are and how alone some others may be, Adult Forum looks for hands-on ways to be helpful. If you know of a project many hands could cook or wrap or put together on a Sunday morning, let us know!
